Frans Gosses

Frans Gosses has acquired extensive international experience in management and professional services, first as Human Resources Manager with the Shell Group from 1975 to 1987 and subsequently as a partner with Executive Search companies from 1987 to 2004, particularly with AT Kearney and Maes & Lunau.

Frans’ core business is to improve ‘Executive Performance’, by coaching managers who are faced with choices in their (professional) lives. At the same time, in his capacity as partner with Jonathan Warner, he participates in assessment procedures of senior members of management teams and boards of directors, mainly in merger and take-over situations.

Frans is actively involved in the talent management program of the VVD (the Dutch liberal party).

Mount Fuji is a prime example of peacefulness and balance. Its symmetrical shape, its height, the blue skies and its snow-covered peak make it a symbol of beauty. No coincidence that it is Japan’s holy mountain.

Trust , the social virtues and the creation of prosperity, door Francis Fukuyama

This book illustrates that successful civilizations are largely based on mutual trust amongst its people, creating a strong civil society which serves as the backbone of society .

Plausible and inspiring.

The Mission, with Jeremy Irons and Robert de Niro.

The film tells about the foundation of the (Indian’s) state of Paraguay by the Jesuits. This new ideal state is devastated by an opportunistic coalition of Spanish and Portuguese colonial powers, the ‘good guys’ being crushed in the middle. An embarrassing example of history. I saw myself as the leading character, resolute and with a conviction up to the point of refusing to compromise. I was particularly impressed and touched by his capacity to gain the trust and respect of the impoverished and suspicious indigenous people before helping them build a nation. The most impressing scene is that of a local Indian choir singing one of Mozart’s Missa Solemna.
